Congratulations to Emily, who has been awarded a Regional Gold Medal from the Royal Conservatory of Music's Certificate Program! 


She will be a featured soloist  in RCM's Celebration of Excellence Concert at the Newman Hall at USC's Thornton School of Music!

Natalie is a National Gold Medal Winner!

Congratulations to Natalie, who has been awarded a National Gold Medal from the Royal Conservatory of Music's Certificate Program! 


She has been invited, as one of only four flutists, to perform in RCM's Celebration of Excellence Concert at the iconic Carnegie Hall!  


If she chooses to perform in person, this will be her Carnegie debut, and I'll be tagging along as her #1 roadie!

CM Registration Deadline Nov. 5!

2023 CM registration is now open on the MTAC online system.  To participate, please log into your student portal, confirm the information, and pay the application fee payment before the due date of Nov. 5, 2022.  There should be an email from the state MTAC office in your inbox with instructions.  

One note- after you complete the payment for the registration, the application will still be noted as 'incomplete'.  This is because there is still information, namely repertoire, that needs to be entered.  That deadline is January 15th.

The media submission (videos to upload) period for our branch begins on February 4 and the CM deadline is February 14, 2023.  This includes uploading videos, completing the music theory exam, and filming the sight reading portion of the exam.  As always, I'll scan and upload the sheet music for all students.  You'll be in charge of filming and uploading your sight reading video, uploading your repertoire videos, and taking the theory exam.
