Victoria Performed at Carnegie Hall!

Thursday, February 1, 2024 | Boastin'

Congratulations to Victoria, who has been awarded a National Gold Medal from the Royal Conservatory of Music's Certificate Program! She has been invited, as one of only four flutists, to perform in RCM's Celebration of Excellence Concert at the iconic Carnegie Hall!  This was her Carnegie debut and the flute studio's 2nd RCM National Gold Medal performance in as many years!

Annual Music Theory Workshop

Friday, November 3, 2023 | Register!

Before the pandemic began, Caitlin hosted an annual music theory workshop at her home the Sunday before school returned in January.  Now it’s back!

All students are welcome, but students participating in Certificate of Merit are strongly encouraged to attend the annual Music Theory Workshop. This is a chance to see how we’re progressing towards our goal of acing the Certificate of Merit Theory Exam (cupcakes and snacks included).

The student with the top score on their practice theory exam will be crowned as Theory Queen or King in a breathtakingly extravagant coronation event.

Busking for Charity is BACK!

Thursday, October 26, 2023 | Register!

Sunday, December 17, 1:00-4:00pm

The Oaks Mall (exact location tba)

Busk: verb: To play music or otherwise perform for voluntary donations in the street or other public place.

Pre-Pandemic, our studio gave back every holiday season with a program called Busking for Charity. Students are invited to play solo, chamber, and holiday flute choir music at The Oaks Mall for voluntary donations to a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.  In previous years we’ve raised an average of $500 in less than three hours.  This year we’ll raise money for Doctors without Borders.

Flutists are free to come and go within the roughly 2-3 hours of our total time at the mall, playing when they’d like (based on parental guidance).  Performance time and extra event help count toward volunteer hours! I’m happy to sign any documentation attesting to your participation.

Casual and festive holiday dress is encouraged.

Register on our Online Studio Calendar by December 10.

P.S. Volunteer hours are available and help is needed in preparation for this year’s Busking for Charity.  Contact me before Thanksgiving break if you can help!
