Congratulations, Emily, Suzy, and Minzy, on being selected as winners at the Regional Southern California Junior Bach Festival!  This was our first year participating in the Bach Festival, and I'm over the moon impressed that all three entries will go on to the next round, the Complete Works Audition, in early October.

Way to go to Francesca, Victoria, Minzy, and Suzy, who all were accepted into the 2023 Ventura County Honor Bands!

Victoria - 1st chair VC Middle School Honor Band

Minzy- 4th chair VC High School Honor Band

Suzy- 6th chair VC High School Honor Band

Their concert is on Sunday, February 5th at 2pm at VHS!

Congratulations to Natalie, who has been awarded a National Gold Medal from the Royal Conservatory of Music's Certificate Program! She has been invited, as one of only four flutists, to perform in RCM's Celebration of Excellence Concert at the iconic Carnegie Hall!  This was her Carnegie debut, and I tagged along as her #1 roadie!

Congratulations, Minzy & Suzy, for your successful audition to the 2023 Ventura County High School Honor Band!  Your high expectations for yourselves paid off once again as you've earned your spots in this prestigious group! 

Well done to everyone who auditioned- each time we prepare and perform an audition, we ready ourself that much more for the next one.  We learn our strengths, we trust our ability, we test our courage, and we identify those areas we need to further work through.
